WACO – Devon Thomas of the Texas A&M equestrian team has been named the Arion Sellier Fences Rider of the Month for February, as announced by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association on Wednesday.
Thomas is the second Aggie this season to earn the award, joining teammate Kate Egan.
In the month of February, the fifth-year senior compiled a 4-1 record to go along with a pair of MOP honors. Thomas recorded an average score of 83.4 and win margin of 5.3 throughout the month. Against No. 3 Georgia, the Millburn, N.J., native scored a career-high 92 on Chapman en route to MOP honors.
Thomas and the Aggies conclude the regular season with a home matchup against No. 1 Auburn on Saturday at noon from the Hildebrand Equine Complex.
