IOWA CITY, Iowa – Texas A&M's Allen Bottego added a second event and Mayson Richards earned her spot at NCAA Championships on the second day of competition at NCAA Zone D Diving Championships Tuesday.Â

Bottego positioned himself well in 3-meter prelims, notching a score of 367.90 to sit in fourth and advance to the final. He moved up the board in the final, placing second with a total score of 764.45 to tack on a second event for NCAAs after qualifying on the 1-meter on Monday. Rhett Hensley was also in action in the 3-meter final, placing 18th with a score of 597.55.Â

On the women's side, Richards and Else Praasterink advanced to the final on 1-meter with top-18 scores in prelims. Richards closed out strong in prelims, posting her top scores of the round on her final two dives to take 13th with a score of 283.75. She punched her ticket to NCAAs, securing the last available spot and placing 11th in the final with a score of 577.30. Praasterink went on to take 14th in the final with a score of 569.40.Â
