IOWA CITY, Iowa – Texas A&M's Jaxon Bowshire, Rhett Hensley and Else Praasterink secured spots at NCAA Championships on platform as competition concluded at NCAA Zone D Diving Championships Wednesday. On the week, five Aggie divers qualified for NCAAs.Â

Bowshire and Hensley impressed in the platform final as Bowshire took the top spot with a total score of 875.20 and Hensley earned third with a score of 788.80. With their qualifying finishes on platform, each diver added the 1-meter for NCAA Championships after notching top-12 scores Monday evening.

Praasterink used a fifth-place score of 613.60 on platform to add a second event for NCAAs after punching her ticket on 3-meter earlier in the week.

Matthew Aigner and Chloe McKnight were also in action in the platform finals. Aigner placed 12th with a score of 677.15, while McKnight's score of 461.25 put her in 18th.Â

Allen Bottego qualified for NCAAs on both springboards earlier in the week and Mayson Richards will also join her teammates at NCAAs after punching her ticket on the 1-meter Tuesday night.Â

Praasterink and Richards have a quick turnaround for women's NCAA Championships, which begins Wednesday, March 19 and runs through Saturday, March 22. Bottego, Bowshire and Hensley prepare for the men's championships March 26-29. Both meets will be held at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Washington.Â
