BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M standout Mary Stoiana earned SEC Women's Tennis Player of the Week recognition for the second time this season and the 11th time in her career.

Stoiana boasts 15 career weekly honors from the SEC, including four freshman of the week awards from her rookie campaign in 2022.

The Southbury, Connecticut, native continues her stellar senior season. Stoiana earned two ranked singles wins in Texas A&M's triumphs versus No. 11 Auburn and Florida. In the Aggies' victory over the Tigers, Stoiana dismantled the No. 4 ranked player in the nation, DJ Bennett, 6-4, 6-3, in a high stakes match which knotted the score at 3-3. She prevailed over Florida's No. 50 Rachel Gailis, 6-3, 6-1 earning A&M's first point in Sunday's match.

The reigning ITA National Player of the Year and two-time SEC Player of the Year, Stoiana is in the last season of the Aggies' most successful tennis career. She recently became Texas A&M's all-time leader in singles wins and now has 126 victories. Stoiana has also amassed 84 doubles victories.

Stoiana owns a 16-3 singles record on the season, including a 14-3 mark against nationally ranked players.

The Aggies return to action with road matches Friday at Missouri and Sunday at No. 16 Vanderbilt.
