Praasterink Places Eighth on Platform to Close Out NCAA Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Texas A&M's Else Praasterink picked up All-America accolades with a top-eight finish on platform to help the Aggies close out Women's NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships Saturday night at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center. The Maroon & White finished in 26th with 22 points.

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Texas A&M's Else Praasterink picked up All-America accolades with a top-eight finish on platform to help the Aggies close out Women's NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships Saturday night at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center. The Maroon & White finished in 26th with 22 points. 
 
Praasterink advanced to the platform final with a top-five score in prelims and went on to pick up the fifth All-America honors of her career, first as an Aggie, with an eighth-place score of 278.00. 
 
The 400 free relay team of Chloe Stepanek, Kaitlyn Owens, Ella McQuinn and Olivia Theall closed the meet out strong with a season-best time of 3:14.63 to place 24th. 

On the week, five Aggies garnered All-America accolades in four different events, with Praasterink and Stepanek bringing home individual honors on platform and in the 200 free, respectively.
