NANJING, China – Texas A&M's Kimar Farquharson won the silver medal in the men's 4x400m for Team Jamaica on the final day of the World Athletics Indoor Championships Sunday at the Nanjing Sports Training Centre.

Farquharson won his first senior international medal for Jamaica, as he ran a decisive third leg to ensure the teams silver medal. Receiving the baton third, he ran the fastest leg of his nation's contingent in 45.41 to shorten the gap to first and extend the gap to third. The anchor for the group crossed the line in 3:05.05 which was good for second place.

Brandon Miller had an impressive showing in the men's 800m at the championships, earning automatic qualification spots out of both the prelims and semifinals. In the finals he crossed the line in 1:46.44 to take fifth.

Timara Chapman made her international debut, as she placed fifth in the women's pentathlon. The Aggie grad recorded a total of 4,476 points, thanks to a second-place finish in the 60m hurdles (8.24), first in the high jump (1.81m/5-11.25), ninth in the shot put (13.23m/43-5), 10th in the long jump (6.02m/19-9) and 11th in the 800m (2:20.95).

Will Williams added an 11th-place finish in the long jump to A&M's list of results, leaping 7.76m/25-5.5.
