BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M baseball team rallied from a six-run deficit Friday night to defeat Kentucky 9-7 in the series opener from Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

Weston Moss (3-2) earned the win in relief after limiting the Wildcats (15-9, 2-5) to three hits over a career-best six scoreless frames. The right-hander also tallied six strikeouts and did not allow a walk. Â

Bear Harrison led the offensive attack for the Aggies (13-12, 1-6) as the sophomore went 2-for-3 with a homer and three RBI. Freshman Terrence Kiel II followed with a 2-for-3 performance to go along with two RBI and two runs scored. Jace LaViolette and Ben Royo rounded out the multi-hit performers for Texas A&M as the duo each went 2-for-4 at the plate.

Following a two-run single from Harrison in the fourth that trimmed the Kentucky advantage to 7-3, the Maroon & White plated five runs in the fifth to take an 8-7 lead. Wyatt Henseler opened the scoring with an RBI single to left and Kiel later followed with a two-run double down the left field line to pull the Aggies to within one.

After Gavin Kash evened the score with a sacrifice fly, Kiel put Texas A&M in front as the rookie swiped third and scored on a throwing error by the Wildcats.

In the sixth, LaViolette added an insurance run with a two-out RBI double to the gap in right center.

The Wildcats raced out to a 5-0 advantage through the first two frames before the Maroon & White broke through on the scoreboard via a Harrison solo home run. The sophomore's fourth long ball of the season left the bat at 102 mph and traveled 357 feet over the wall in left.

The Wildcats answered with a run in the third and the fourth to build its advantage at the time to 7-1. Â
