BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M's Lizanne Boyer was honored with a spot on the SEC Women's Tennis Community Service Team, the conference announced Thursday.

Among Boyer's community service efforts was joining a Texas A&M student-athlete mission trip to the Dominican Republic. She had the privilege of serving in multiple ways that deeply impacted the community as well as herself. The group helped build a house for a local family, providing a safe and secure place to live. They installed water filters in several homes, ensuring families had access to clean water. The group also prayed over families, offered spiritual support and hosted sports camps for local children.

Boyer contributes time to the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI), working to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. She has participated in local events and educational programs aimed at providing support and resources to individuals and families affected by mental illness.

As a parishioner of the A&M United Methodist Church, Boyer serves the community through a food drive. The church collects, sorts and distributes food to families in need, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals.

Boyer is a member of the National Charity League, embarking on volunteer efforts with several organizations. Among the efforts is work with New Friends New Life, which supports women and children who have been affected by human trafficking. Through NCL she has assisted in various events and initiatives aimed at empowering and providing services to individuals through New Friends New Life. She has also helped in fundraising efforts, organized donation drives and participated in outreach programs that provided emotional and financial support to those in need.

This season Boyer owns nine singles victories, including two in dual action and one in SEC play. She also owns four doubles wins, including teaming with Lucciana Perez to go 2-0 on court 3 in SEC action.
