BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Men's basketball coach Bucky McMillan announced the addition of two-time first-team All-Atlantic Sun Conference guard Jacari Lane to Texas A&M's 2025-26 roster on Saturday.

Lane, from Huntsville, Alabama, earned All-ASUN mention for the past three seasons at North Alabama, where he led the Lions in scoring and assists for the past two campaigns. The 6-foot Lane earned first-team All-ASUN honors as a sophomore and junior after winning Freshman of the Year and Sixth Man of the Year honors in his first season at the school.

Last season, Lane was the ASUN's No. 2 scorer with 604 total points while averaging 17.3 points in 35 games. He was just the fifth player in school history to eclipse the 600-point plateau. He led the Lions with 139 assists (fifth in the ASUN) and paced the team with 121 free throws and 79.1% success rate at the line. He ranked No. 2 in the ASUN in free throws attempted and made and ranked No. 6 in FT%. He connected on 71-of-175 3-point attempts and his 40.6 3FG% ranked second in the ASUN among players with more than 120 attempts.

In three seasons in Florence, Lane scored 1,494 points to eclipse the school's Division I scoring record while averaging 14.9 points in 100 total games with 75 starts. He also connected on 38.4% of his 3-point tries, dished out 368 assists and posted 105 steals. Over the past three seasons, Lane led the ASUN in free throws attempted and made and assists and ranked No. 2 in scoring and steals.

A standout high school player, Lane led Huntsville Lee High School to a pair of Class 5A state titles and all-state honors as a junior and senior. As a senior in 2022, Lane was named the Tennessee Valley Player of the Year by AL.com after averaging 21.9 points per game. Lane had his Lee HS Generals jersey retired in 2023.
