BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – A two-out, three-run home run off the bat of Caden Sorrell in the eighth propelled the Texas A&M baseball team to a series-clinching win, 6-4, over No. 2 LSU Sunday afternoon at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park. The series victory marked the Aggies (27-20, 10-14) third over a Top 2 opponent this season.

Entering the eighth trailing 4-2, the Maroon & White pulled within one on a two-out RBI infield single from Jace LaViolette. Following a single from Wyatt Henseler, Sorrell lifted a 2-1 pitch over the wall in left center to put Texas A&M in front for the first time on the afternoon, 6-4. The junior's 10th homer of the season traveled 403 feet and left the bat at 104 mph.

In the ninth, Weston Moss (6-2) retired the side in order to seal the victory and clinch the series. The right-hander earned the win in relief after retiring nine of the 10 batters he faced in three scoreless frames. Moss also struck out two on the afternoon. Â
