HOOVER – The Texas A&M baseball team turns its attention to the SEC Tournament as they face Mississippi State Tuesday night at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. First pitch is slated for approximately 8 p.m.

Tuesday's matchup marks the first this season and 50th all-time between the Aggies (28-25) and the Bulldogs (34-20). The Maroon & White went 2-2 against Mississippi State in 2024 and leads the series 26-23.

The Aggies will send right-hander Weston Moss to the mound Tuesday night. The sophomore holds a 6-3 record to go along with a 3.35 ERA in 21 appearances this season. In 45 2/3 innings, Moss has struck out 49 batters to 17 walks.

The start marks the third of the year for the righty, who will be opposed by right-hander Ryan McPherson for the Bulldogs.

Texas A&M enters the SEC Tournament with an 18-14 record in the event, including a 6-4 mark in its opening game. The Aggies have claimed the SEC Tournament Championship once in program history, coming in 2016.

This year's tournament is a 16-team, single elimination format, that concludes with the championship game on Sunday. With a win, the Maroon & White will advance to face No. 8 Auburn in the second round Wednesday night at approximately 8 p.m.
