BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M women's basketball announced the signing of elite 2025 French prospect Talia Kavoka Monday.
Â
"We are thrilled to welcome Talia to the Texas A&M family," Head Coach Joni Taylor said. "Talia brings a unique international experience representing France on the national team, providing depth in the backcourt, and a relentless work ethic that aligns perfectly with the culture we are building here. We can't wait to see her grow and thrive as an Aggie."
Â
The incoming freshman joins the 2025 recruiting class of Anita Franchini and Chaney Spencer. Kavoka is one of five international players set to compete for the Aggies during the 2025-26 campaign, joining Franchini (Italy), Lemyah Hylton (Canada), Fatmata Janneh (England) and Pien Steenbergen (Netherlands).
Â
The Évry-Courcouronnes, France, native recently played for Lattes Montpellier during the 2024-25 Eurocup regular season. She was the youngest player on the roster that went 10-2 and she saw action in two outings.
Â

During the 2023 FIBA U16 Women's European Championship, Kavoka contributed to a 7-0 record for her home country of France and a gold medal. Kavoka posted 1.7 points and 1.2 assists per outing during the run.
