LONDON – Carson Branstine, a two-time All-American at Texas A&M, earned a spot in the Wimbledon Championships singles main draw with her run in qualifying at Community Sport Centre in Roehampton.

Branstine will make her first career appearance at the All England Lawn Tennis Club for the Championships June 30-July 12.

The 2023 Texas A&M graduate won three grueling three-set matches to claim the spot. She topped Lois Boisson, who recently advanced to the semifinal round at the French Open, 6-2, 6-7(1), 6-4 to start the chase. On Wednesday, Branstine topped 2019 U.S. Open Champion Bianca Andreescu 7-6(3), 4-6, 6-1. She punched her ticket to the main event with Thursday's 4-6, 7-6(6), 6-2 victory over Raluca Serban.

Branstine recently entered the top 200 of the WTA rankings for the first time in her career. In March, she won the WTT W50 Santo Domingo

At Texas A&M, Branstine earned ITA All-American Singles recognition in 2022 and Doubles in 2023. She also claimed All-SEC First Team in 2022 and 2023. Branstine helped the Aggies earn their first national title in 2024, picking up NCAA All-Tournament Team distinction in both doubles and singles.
