Aggies Add SEC Defender Hattie Patterson

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M soccer team enhanced its back line with the addition of SEC defender Hattie Patterson, head coach G Guerrieri announced Friday.
"Adding Hattie to our roster is a big plus," Guerrieri said. "She adds athleticism and experience as a starter in the SEC the last two years. She has a fantastic left-footed service as she moves forward with the ball. Because she is a former teammate of several of our current players from their days growing up in the super competitive DFW youth soccer scene, I know she's going to fit in and enhance our team's culture."
Patterson, who arrives in Aggieland with two seasons of eligibility, played all 36 matches with Ole Miss with 29 starts. The Rebels recorded 11 clean sheets during her tenure.
As a sophomore in 2024, Patterson appeared in all 19 matches, including 18 starts. She helped the Rebels record four shutouts on the season. She played the full 90 minutes in 11 of the first 13 matches with Ole Miss posting a 1.23 goals-against average over the span.
In 2023, Patterson played in all 17 matches, including 11 starts. She helped the back line produce seven shutouts and a 1.18 goals-against average.
A prep standout at Dallas Highland Park High School, Patterson claimed All-Region 1-6A Second Team as a senior in 2023 and All-Region 2-5A First Team in 2022. She was a three-time all-district choice, including earning district MVP in 2022.
Patterson experienced a successful career with Solar Soccer Club where she helped her team win the 2022 ECNL Texas Conference title. She was a two-time ECNL All-Texas Conference honoree.
