NEW ORLEANS – Texas A&M track & field's Sam Whitmarsh was named to The Bowerman men's Preseason Watch list, the USTFCCCA announced Thursday.
Whitmarsh, a two-time SEC champion, makes his first appearance on The Bowerman Preseason Watch List and was one of 10 athletes named to the docket.

Last season Whitmarsh secured his debut appearance on The Bowerman Watchlist following his showing at the Battle on the Bayou, as the senior ran 1:44.46 outdoors in the 800m which was the fastest time in the nation last year. The mark also ranks as No. 2 on the Texas A&M all-time list and is the seventh-fastest time in NCAA history.
