FORT WORTH – Aggie freshman Anna Perelman grabbed pair of wins Thursday in the qualifying rounds of the ITA Regional Championships at Friedman Tennis Center.

Perelman defeated Natalia Guerrero on UTSA, 7-6(3), 6-2, bringing in her first win as an Aggie.

Perelman took down Rice's Valentina Serrano, 6-1, 6-4, to move into main draw.

Avery Esquivel was on the wrong end, dropping 6-2, 6-4 to Victoria Franklin of Incarnate Word, then falling in consolation action against Adeliya Mukhutdinova of Tarleton State, 6-4, 7-5.

The main draw singles begin Friday, with Daria Smetannikov, Mia Kupres, Violeta Martinez and Perelman competing to advance into the Round of 32.
