Oct 01, 2025 | Football
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Texas A&M's Mario Craver was added to the watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, which is annually presented to the outstanding receiver in college football, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation announced on Tuesday.
Craver, a sophomore wide receiver from Birmingham, Alabama, has emerged as one of the nation's most dangerous receiving threats. Craver leads the SEC in receiving yards per game and ranks No. 2 nationally with an average of 119.3 yards. He leads the Aggies with 24 catches for 477 yards and four touchdowns, while leading the nation with a per catch average of 19.9 yards among players with at least 20 receptions.
The 5-9, 165-pound Craver has had three 100-yard receiving efforts in his first four games, including the program's first 200-yard performance away from Kyle Field in the Aggies' road win over No. 8 Notre during week three. His 207 receiving yards and 86-yard touchdown catch against the Fighting Irish remain FBS bests against Associated Press Top 25 opponents.
The Biletnikoff Award's semifinalists, three finalists, and award recipient are selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of 600 prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners, and other former receivers.
Recently, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation opened the 2025 FanVote. Every fan may vote once daily on the Biletnikoff Award FanVote page. The aggregate fan tally will be counted as one official vote to determine semi-finalists, finalists (three receivers), and the winner.
The award is named for Fred Biletnikoff, a member of the pro and college football halls of fame, who was a consensus 1st-team All-America receiver at Florida State University and an All-Pro receiver for the Oakland Raiders. He caught 589 passes for 8,974 yards and 76 touchdowns in his 14-year Raiders career from 1965 through 1978. Biletnikoff was the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XI.
