White Tabbed to Ray Guy Award’s “Ray’s 8” Week 7 List

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Texas A&M punter Tyler White was selected as one of "Ray's 8" for Week 7, as announced by the Augusta Sports Council and the Ray Guy Award committee on Monday.

In the win over Florida, White punted four times for an average of 48.8 yards, his highest single-game average of the season. The Southlake, Texas, native flipped the field with three boots over 50 yards and pinned the Gators inside the 20-yard line once. This season, White has launched 11 of his 26 punts for over 50 yards and boasts an average of 45.2 yards per boot.

The selection marks White's second consecutive appearance on "Ray's 8" list and his third weekly honor of the season. The Ray Guy Award honors the nation's best collegiate punter. Fans can vote here for the Week 7 Ray Guy Punter of the Week Award.

Texas A&M heads to Fayetteville, Ark. on Saturday 2:30 p.m. CT for a conference matchup with Arkansas on ESPN. The Razorbacks are 2-4 on the season following a 34-31 loss at #12 Tennessee last weekend.
