Elko, Eight Aggies Receive Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Midseason Honors

Mike Elko and eight members of the No. 4 Texas A&M football were named to Dave Campbell's Texas Football's Midseason All-Texas Team, the publication announced on Tuesday.

LEWISVILLE, Texas – Head coach Mike Elko and eight members of the No. 4 Texas A&M football were named to Dave Campbell's Texas Football's Midseason All-Texas Team, the publication announced on Tuesday.

Elko, in his second season as the Aggies' head coach, was named the Midseason Coach of the Year after guiding Texas A&M to a 6-0 record and its highest in-season ranking in three decades.Ā

Earning spots on the Midseason All-Texas first team were wide receiver Mario Craver, defensive end Cashius Howell, linebacker Taurean York and offensive tackle Trey Zuhn III, while wide receiver KC Concepcion, safety Marcus Ratcliffe, offensive guard Ar'maj Reed-Adams and defensive tackle Albert Regis were named to the second team. Texas A&M and Texas Tech tied for most player selections on the team.

The Aggies (3-0 in SEC play) return to action with the team's first trip to Fayetteville, Arkansas in over a decade for a 2:30 p.m. league matchup with the Arkansas Razorbacks (2-4 overall, 0-2 in SEC play) on Saturday.
