
Howell, Reed-Adams Named to Sporting News Midseason All-America Team

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M defensive end Cashius Howell and offensive lineman Ar'maj Reed-Adams have been named to the Sporting News Midseason All-America Team, the organization announced Wednesday.
Howell ranks second nationally with 8.0 sacks and leads the SEC with 9.0 tackles for loss. The Kansas City, Missouri, native has registered two games with at least three sacks and has garnered an SEC Defensive Lineman honors two times. Howell leads a defense that nationally ranks fifth in sacks (21) and eighth in tackles for loss (47.0). The redshirt senior's 23.5 career sacks rank third among NCAA active sack leaders.
Reed-Adams, a graduate student, helps lead an offensive line that ranks No. 2 nationally with 2.8 tackles for loss allowed per game. Texas A&M is one of five FBS offenses that rank in the top 40 in total yards, passing efficiency, rushing, scoring and time of possession. The Dallas, Texas, native is the second highest graded run blocker (74.4) in the SEC, according to Pro Football Focus.
The Maroon & White begin a three-game road stretch when they travel to Arkansas on Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. CT contest on ESPN.
