Oct 15, 2025 | Soccer
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M soccer team hosts the Missouri Tigers Thursday at Ellis Field as the chase for SEC Tournament spots intensifies. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m.
The Aggies and Tigers battle as the squads look to crack the top 12 which advance to the SEC Tournament.
Offensively, Texas A&M (4-6-4, 1-5-1 SEC) is led by Trinity Buchanan with 12 points on five goals and two assists. Leah Diaz has 10 points with three goals and four assists. Kaylee Noble has nine points on three goals and three assists.
Bella Yakel has played all 1,260 minutes to lead the Aggies. The center back entered the campaign as the most-seasoned Texas A&M player, having accumulated 4,132 minutes during her three seasons at Portland. The senior defender has 71 Division I caps on her resume, including 63 starts. She earned a spot on the TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week for her efforts against Texas and Oklahoma.
Freshman Riley Crooks is not far behind, starting all 14 matches on the A&M backline. The Huntington Beach, California, native ranks second on the squad with 1,235 minutes played and she has logged one assist.
Missouri (4-9-1, 1-6-0 SEC) is searching for goals, going scoreless in the last six matches. They have five players tied for the team lead in goals with two apiece. Hailey Chambliss has a team-high six points on two goals and six assists. Emily Derucki also has six points with one goal and a team-high four assists.
The Aggies boast a 19-6-4 edge in the all-time series against Missouri. Texas A&M thumped Missouri twice in the 2017 campaign, including a 5-1 victory in the regular-season and 7-1 triumph in the SEC Tournament, but other than that the matches have been tight since the squads joined the SEC for the 2012 season. As SEC brethren A&M owns a 6-1-3 edge in the series, but seven of the 10 matches have been decided by one goal or less. Last season, the Aggies pulled out a 1-0 victory in Columbia with a goal in the 62nd minute. Sydney Fuller made two saves in the shutout.
The match streams on SEC Network+ with David Ellis (play-by-play) and Brooke Kirchhofer (color) on the call.
