TEXAS A&M QUOTES
Head Coach G Guerrieri
On the set piece that led up to the goal…
"The fight all the way around you can see why Aggies don't give up and that was exactly what it took tonight. Because as close as we came in the second minute and as close as we came in other times. It was going to take something special, and Trinity Buchanan is special and that was a well-run set piece. We've talked about trying to be more dangerous in the final third whether it was through a buildup of shots or set piece corner kicks which are great instincts by Trinity [Buchanan], really proud of her and the team."
Junior defender Hattie Patterson
On how it is to get a win against Texas...
"We deserve this, we have been putting in so much work, to get a result like this feels so good. This has to be a turning point where we keep building on it, getting the win against Texas is so much fun."
Junior midfielder Trinity Buchanan
On how the defensive performance helps out the offense...
"It would be impossible without our defenders, having their ability to win the ball and find us created more opportunities. I'm glad we have a team where we look for people, it's all a team effort."
