Reed Named to Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Weekly Honorable Mention List

TYLER, Texas – Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Player of the Week Honorable Mention list following his standout performance in the Aggies' 49-25 victory at No. 20 LSU.
Reed accounted for 310 yards of total offense and four touchdowns to lead the Aggies to 35 unanswered points in the second half, erasing a halftime deficit in the SEC road win. The redshirt sophomore completed 12-of-21 passes for 202 yards and two touchdowns while adding a career-high 108 rushing yards and two scores on 13 carries.
Three of Reed's four touchdowns went for 15-plus yards, including a career-long 41-yard touchdown run on the game's opening drive. The Nashville, Tennessee, native, became the first Aggie to tally multiple passing and rushing touchdowns in a true road game since Johnny Manziel in 2012.
Texas A&M returns to action on Nov. 8 when the Aggies close out their current three-game road swing against the Missouri Tigers in Columbia at 2:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
