Oct 09, 2025 | Baseball
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M baseball team concludes fall exhibition action Friday night with a 12-inning scrimmage against TCU at 6 p.m. from Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.
Admission and parking are free to the public and concessions will be open.
The Aggies used 17 position players and 11 pitchers to outscore Sam Houston 22-7 in 12 innings in the fall opener. The Maroon & White's freshman firepower was on full display as Luke Billings, Boston Kellner, Nico Partida and Jorian Wilson combined for eight hits and 12 RBI. Billings and Partida added to their big nights as they both cleared the wall for home runs, while also pitching an inning each on the mound.
Ben Royo blasted a home run of his own to end the night with two hits, four RBI and a walk.
Weston Moss made the start for the Aggies and delivered a clean first inning, striking out two. Aiden Sims punched out a team-best four batters, recording the longest outing of the contest at 2.0 innings.
Offensively, Texas A&M leads the nation with three sluggers named to MLB Pipeline's Top-20 2026 Draft Prospects in Chris Hacopian (No. 10), Gavin Grahovac (No. 14) and Caden Sorrell (No. 15). Grahovac, the 2024 SEC Freshman of the Year, returns to the diamond after his 2025 season was cut short due to injury. Sorrell looks to build upon a mighty 2025 campaign where he led the team in batting average (.337) and slugging percentage (.789).
The Maroon & White's pitching staff is headlined by Moss, who registered a 3.19 ERA across 48.0 innings last season. Shane Sdao is set to return to action after missing the entire 2025 season due to injury. The lefty played a pivotal role in the Texas A&M's journey to the 2024 College World Series as he posted a 2.96 ERA in 48.2 innings pitched.
The fall exhibition marks the first meeting between the two squads since the 2022 Bryan-College Station regional final where the Aggies handled the Horned Frogs 15-9 to punch their ticket to a Super Regional.
