The Texas A&M men's basketball team returns to action Thursday to take on Texas Southern at 7 p.m. at Reed Arena.Â
The Aggies started the season Monday night with a commanding 98-68 victory over Northwestern State for head coach Bucky McMillan's first victory with the Aggies and the 100th of his college coaching career. The 98 points marked the most for the Aggies in a season opener since the 2018-19 season. As a team, the Maroon & White saw five players score in double figures, with 53 of their 98 points coming off the bench.
The Tigers opened the year Monday night in Spokane, falling to Gonzaga 98-43. The last meeting between the schools came in December 2019, a 58-55 win by the Aggies at Reed Arena.
