Pounds Named to Haskins Award Watch List

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Texas A&M men's golf standout Aaron Pounds was selected to the Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel Final Fall Watch List Tuesday.
 
The Final Fall Watch List has pinpointed the top 25 players in the country headed into the winter break.
 
Pounds is off to a stellar start in his junior season. He is slotted No. 28 in the Scoreboard National Player Rankings powered by Clippd. He started the fall with his first career victory, winning the 2nd Swing Gopher Invitational in September. He has added fourth place finishes at the Marquette Intercollegiate and the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational.
 
The Woodlands, Texas, native owns a 68.1 adjusted scoring average and owns a 314-63-20 W-L-T on the season.
 
Beginning in 1971, the Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel is annually given to the top male U.S. collegiate golfer as voted on by only college golfers, coaches and members of the golf media. Past winners of the Haskins Award have captured 33 major championships and more than 400 professional tournament titles around the world.
 
Pounds returns to action February 2-3 at the SeaBest Invitational in Atlantic Beach, Florida.
