WACO – Texas A&M's Mattie Gustin has been named the National Collegiate Equestrian Association's Ride of the Week, the organization announced Wednesday.
Gustin earned the sixth MOP honor of her career, first of the season, after scoring a 72.5 on Creed in Reining against Georgia. She topped her opponent by two points from the first judge and 1.5 points from the second, marking a solid spread with no penalties.
Gustin and the Maroon & White return to action Thursday at 1 p.m. as they travel to face SMU at the Dallas Equestrian Center.
