Nov 12, 2025 | Women's Golf
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M women's golf signed the No. 9 golfer in the 2026 recruiting class in Emerie Schartz Wednesday.
"It's an amazing day to have Emerie and her family join us at Texas A&M," head coach Gerrod Chadwell said. "Emerie is on a trajectory to impact our program immediately and leave an amazing mark here over the course of her career! She trains at a very high level and is beginning to gain experience in venues around the world with her involvement on the U.S. National Team. We value players that are coachable, and Emerie is that and much more! She will make all of us better!"
Schartz is the No. 27 overall junior golfer in the country and No. 9 in the 2026 class, according to the Rolex AJGA Rankings. The Wichita, Kansas native has appeared in each of the last two U.S. Women's Amateurs and was a member of the 2024 and 2025 U.S. National Junior Teams.
This past summer, Schartz advanced to match play at the 76th U.S. Girls' Junior and went all the way to the quarterfinals of the tournament to take home a share of fifth. The incoming freshman is also the back-to-back Kansas Girls Junior Amateur Champion.
Schartz was tabbed as a 2025 Rolex Junior Honorable Mention All-American, joining future teammates Vanessa Borovilos, Brynn Kort and Natalie Yen as Aggies to have earned a Rolex Junior All-America nod in their careers.
Texas A&M wrapped up its fall season as the No. 5 team in the country on the Scoreboard Team Rankings after winning all four stroke play events. The Aggies return for the spring portion of the 2025-26 campaign at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge in Palos Verdes Estates, California, Feb. 1-3.
