Nov 17, 2025 | Football
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Sophomore wide receiver Mario Craver was selected one of 13 semifinalists for the Biletnikoff Award, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation announced on Monday.
The award recognizes the college football season's outstanding FBS receiver annually and Craver becomes the first Aggie since tight end Jace Sternberger in 2018 to be named a semifinalist.
Craver, a Birmingham, Alabama, native is fourth in the SEC in receiving yards per game and ranks No. 24th nationally with an average of 78.10 yards. He's tied for the team lead with KC Concepcion with 47 catches for 781 yards and four touchdowns, while ranking No. 11 nationally with a per catch average of 16.6 yards among players with at least 40 receptions.
The 5-9, 165-pound Craver has had three 100-yard receiving efforts in his first four games, including the program's first 200-yard performance away from Kyle Field in the Aggies' road win over No. 8 Notre during week three. His 207 receiving yards and 86-yard touchdown catch against the Fighting Irish remain FBS bests against Associated Press Top 25 opponents.
The Biletnikoff Award's semifinalists, three finalists, and award recipient are selected by the highly distinguished Biletnikoff Award National Selection Committee, a group of 600 prominent college football journalists, commentators, announcers, Biletnikoff Award winners, and other former receivers. Foundation trustees do not vote and have never voted.
The award is named for Fred Biletnikoff, a member of the pro and college football halls of fame, who was a consensus 1st-team All-America receiver at Florida State University and an All-Pro receiver for the Oakland Raiders. He caught 589 passes for 8,974 yards and 76 touchdowns in his 14-year Raiders career from 1965 through 1978. Biletnikoff was the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XI.
