TYLER, Texas – Texas A&M redshirt freshman wide receiver Ashton Bethel-Roman earned a spot on the Week 12 Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Player of the Week Honorable Mention list for his performance in Saturday's 31-30 victory over South Carolina.
Bethel-Roman shattered his career high in receiving yards with 139 on four receptions. The Missouri City, Texas, native hauled in his third touchdown catch of the season after making a diving catch in the end zone on a 39-yard strike to put the Aggies back within two scores. On the ensuing drive, Bethel-Roman set up the Maroon & White's next score after reeling in a career-long 76-yard reception to put the offense on the opponent's 14-yard line.
The redshirt freshman pass-catcher boasts a total of 16 receptions for 381 yards and three scores on the season.
Texas A&M hosts Samford for a non-conference contest at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 22 on SEC Network+.
