How was your initial transition from Florida back to Texas last semester?
"It's been pretty good. Academically, it's been challenging but a very good, smooth ride. I did have bumps along the way when I got here, softball-wise, because I got a concussion, but after that it's been smooth sailing."
What made you commit to Texas A&M?
"I really like it here. A&M is also closer to home, which is nice since my sister goes here. I love all the traditions, coaching staff and facilities. I just felt like A&M was a good fit for me."
As a player, how have you seen yourself grow during your time at A&M?
"I feel like I've really dug into the mental game and the little details of my swing. Defensively, I've been able to really focus on the fundamentals of the game."
What makes Aggieland so unique?
"The people, coaches and all the traditions. When you go to a football game, you know everybody is in it. From the outside looking in, it looks like a cult, but when you're a part of that, it's really awesome."
What are your individual and team goals for this season?
"Go to the World Series. Individually, I've always had a dream of becoming an All-American, but my main goals are the World Series and to win a natty."
What is your major and what do you plan on doing with it?
"I'm in material science engineering. Going into it and deciding what I wanted to do, I wasn't for sure, but I really liked the purpose of it. You study in depth the types of materials that go into a product, studying all the atoms inside of it and specific details, trying to figure out what's more cost-efficient or what's better for the environment."
Where in College Station is your favorite place to eat?
'"Ark's Pizza is a good one. It's in downtown Bryan and a really cute little place."
What are some of your hobbies aside from softball?
"I like to bake and draw, but I don't do those very often because of time."
If you could design a uniform, what would it look like?
"I'd keep it maroon of course. I really like our maroon uniforms with the big A&M in the center. I would also add white accents and maybe a bit of gray."
Do you have any pregame rituals?
"Usually I come from class, so I'm listening to country music on my way. After that I go with the flow. I don't have certain rituals and I'm not superstitious or anything like that."
Who on the team would survive the longest during a zombie apocalypse?
"I feel like Scout Lovell would survive the longest. She would get pretty creative and when it comes to survival, I feel she would make it."
