
Aggies Add Argetine Standout for Spring 2026

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M women's tennis team signed elite Argentine player Luciana Moyano, head coach Mark Weaver announced Thursday. Moyano will join the Maroon & White for the spring 2026 slate.
"Luciana will be a great midseason addition to our team," Weaver said. "She is an excellent singles and doubles player. She already has had a lot of success in the early years of her tennis career. Luciana was one of the top international juniors in the world and has had success in the recent years since on the international circuit. She will bring a tremendous amount of energy on the tennis court which translates very well in the atmosphere of college tennis."

Moyano has been ranked as high as No. 431 in the WTA doubles rankings and currently sits at No. 479. In singles, she is ranked No. 822 with a high of No. 777. She represented Argentina at the 2023 Pan American Games. Moyano tallied three ITF WTT doubles titles in 2025, including W15 Cricuma, W15 Lujah and W15 Trelew. She also won three doubles tournaments in 2024 taking trophies at W15 Asuncion and two W15 Trelew. Moyano claimed an ITF WTT singles crown at W15 Eldorado in 2022.
Her top ITF Junior Ranking was No. 12 in October 2022. She earned junior singles titles at J2 Punta del Este, J2 Gladbeck and J1 Lambare in 2022. The right-hander also claimed wins at J4 Cordoba (2021), J5 Santa Cruz (2020) and J5 Tarija (2019). Moyano teamed up with current Aggie Lucciana Perez to win four juniors doubles titles, including J300 Santa Cruz (2023), J2 Neuquen (2022), J2 Punta del Este (2022) and J1 Nottingham (2022). Moyano earned a gold medal in singles and mixed doubles at the 2021 Junior Pan American Games and added three gold medals at the 2022 South American Youth Games. She has experience playing junior grand slam singles and doubles at the French Open, Wimbledon and US Open.
