Women’s Basketball Heads to Hawaii for North Shore Showcase

LAIE, Hawaii– The Texas A&M women's basketball team prepares for a three-game slate at the 2025 Northshore Showcase Nov. 22-25 at the Cannon Activities Center in the Aloha State.
The Aggies (3-0) are off to their best start in the Joni Taylor era after a 77-72 win over Kansas State and look to keep the momentum going against VCU on Saturday at 10:30 p.m. The matchup will be the first in the all-time series between the two programs, The Rams are currently 3-1 on the season coming off a win against Howard.
Transfers have played a major role in the team's early success with Ny'Ceara Pryor and Fatmata Janneh leading the charge. Pryor has had a strong start to the season averaging 16.7 points and 4.0 steals per game while willing the Maroon & White to victory over Kansas State by putting up 24 points, six assists, and five rebounds. Janneh has complemented Pryor's play, averaging a near double-double, contributing 10.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.
A&M is set to play UTA (2-3) on Monday at 4:00 p.m., and will conclude its stay in Hawaii with a game against Colorado (3-1) Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. CT.
