NEW ORLEANS – Texas A&M cross country coach Wendel McRaven was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association South Central Region Women's Coach of the Year, the organization announced Tuesday.

Coach McRaven secured his second women's coach of the year honor in the past three seasons, following the program's second ever NCAA South Central Regional title and first in 25 years.
