Four Aggies Named Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Semifinalists
Dec 04, 2025 | Football
TYLER, Texas – Four members of the College Football Playoff-bound Texas A&M football team were named semifinalists for the 2025 Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, which is presented annually to the nation's top offensive player with ties to the state of Texas.
Representing the 11-1 Aggies on the semifinalists list were graduate student offensive tackle Trey Zuhn III, junior wide receiver/punt returner KC Concepcion, redshirt sophomore quarterback Marcel Reed and sophomore wide receiver Mario Craver.
Zuhn, from Fort Collins, Colorado, clears the way for a Texas A&M offense that averages 454.4 total yards per game and rank as the only team ranking in the top 35 nationally in total offense, scoring, rushing, passing, passing efficiency and time of possession. A fixture on the Aggies' offensive front for five seasons, Zuhn has made 49 career starts and played over 3,000 offensive snaps during his career.
Concepcion, from Charlotte, North Carolina, leads the team with 57 catches for 886 yards with an SEC-best nine touchdowns (tie) while leading the league with 460 punt return yards. He leads all SEC receivers with 12 total touchdowns and became the first Texas A&M player in the modern era of football to reach the endzone via rush, reception and punt return in a season. Concepcion is a finalist for the Paul Hornung Award, which is presented to the most versatile player in major college football.
Reed, from Nashville, Tennessee, is within range of joining 2012 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel and Jerrod Johnson as the lone Aggie quarterbacks to pass for 3,000-plus yards and rush for 500-plus yards in a single season. Reed has accounted for 31 touchdowns (25 passing and six rushing) while averaging 8.0 yards per offensive play. The finalist for the Davey O'Brien Award and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award has completed 209-of-338 pass attempts for 2,932 yards and rushed for 466 yards.
Craver, from Birmingham, Alabama, leads the team with an average of 82.4 scrimmage yards (rushing and receiving) while gaining 14.4 yards per offensive touch. He has reeled in 52 receptions for 825 yards and four touchdowns while chipping in 81 yards and a score on 11 rushes. Craver is the nation's lone player with a 200-plus receiving yards game against an Associated Press top 25 opponent in 2025 after he gained 207 yards on seven catches in the Aggies' 41-40 road win over then-No. 8 Notre Dame. Craver is a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, which is presented annually to the nation's top receiver.
Texas A&M, ranked seventh in the most recent CFP rankings, completed the second 11-win regular season in school history and the first-ever perfect 7-0 home worksheet in 2025. The Aggies, under the direction of second-year head coach Mike Elko, learn their final CFP seeding and opponent on Sunday, Dec. 7.
