Five Aggies Garner AVCA All-Southwest Region Honors

LEXINGTON – Five members of the Texas A&M volleyball team secured All-Southwest Region honors, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced Tuesday morning.
The Aggies captured five spots on the All-Southwest honors list, leading all schools in the region and setting a program record for most accolades in one year. Logan Lednicky, Ifenna Cos-Okpalla, Maddie Waak and Kyndal Stowers were named to the All-Southwest Region Team, while Morgan Perkins was tabbed All-Southwest Honorable Mention.
Lednicky earned her fourth-straight regional nod, as she has spearheaded the Maroon & White's dynamic offense throughout the 2025 campaign. The Sugar Land, Texas native leads the team in kills with 398 to average 4.06 per set. She also impresses on defense, racking up a single-season career high 275 digs which helped her record 13 double-doubles on the year. The opposite hitter's point-scoring abilities extend to blocking, logging 83 stuffs on the season to push her point total to 454.5.
Cos-Okpalla makes it three-consecutive appearances on the All-Region list. She set the tone for the Maroon & White's defense, blocking a single-season high 170 swings which is the most in a year by an Aggie sine 1999. The middle blocker's versatility is what separates her nationwide, as she has 213 kills on the year hitting at a staggering .427 percent. Cos-Okpalla added a new tool to her chest this season from the service line, as she leads the team in aces with 38.
Waak garnered the first regional accolade of her career, following a standout year conducting the Aggies' high-flying offense. The senior has led the nation since the middle of January in assists per set logging 11.49 per frame, while surpassing 1,000 dimes on the year which marked back-to-back years eclipsing the milestone. Waak's contribution also spans to a variety of areas, as she has 53 kills, 42 blocks and 27 aces which all rank as single-season highs.
Stowers secured her first AVCA regional honor after making an instant impact in her debut season for Texas A&M. The outside hitter ranked second on the team in kills, accounting for 317 at .271 percent. Showing her versatility, she also surpassed 200 digs on the year (207) and blocked 57 swings. Stowers also impresses in the serve receive game, as she concluded the SEC slate with a 2.38 passing grade which was No. 1 in the conference.
Perkins is the third Aggie on the list to receive her first regional nod, impressing as one of two dynamic middle blockers on the team. The senior has tallied 147 kills this season on 294 swings with only 21 errors to record a .429 hitting percentage. On the defensive side of the net, she has recorded 80 blocks on the year, helping her account for 194.5 points this season.
