Borovilos Named SEC Golfer of the Week

BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M's Vanessa Borovilos was named the SEC Golfer of the Week for the first time in her career by the league office Wednesday after her dominant victory at the Chevron Collegiate earlier this week.
Borovilos carded a 15-under 201 at the Chevron to earn her first collegiate victory. The 54-hole mark was the second lowest in program history. En route to the championship, Borovilos went bogey free for all three rounds and is currently on a 74-hole streak without a bogey-or-worse, dating back to the Moon Golf Invitational.
This marked the second weekly recognition for Borovilos. Her first honor came as SEC Freshman of the Week after the final tournament of the fall season at the Charles Schwab Women's Collegiate where she tied for second.
The Freshman was tabbed as a 2024 Preseason Golf Channel Honorable Mention All-American and a 2024 Rolex Junior First Team All-American. Borovilos has helped Texas A&M to six top five finishes this season, including a pair of runner-up outings.
Borovilos and the No. 17 Aggies return to the course March 10-12 at the Clover Cup in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
