
Aggies Sign International Standout for Upcoming Campaign

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M women's tennis team signed Anna Perelman, a rising star from Moscow, Russia, head coach Mark Weaver announced Tuesday.
"We are excited to announce the signing of Anna Perelman to our roster for the fall of 2025," Weaver said. "Anna will be a great fit for our team culture of hard work and individuals that want to get better and that embrace all it takes to become the best tennis players they can be. She is a lefty with a well-rounded game. She has had very good success in her young career in both singles and doubles. Her game has been trending in the right direction and will continue to do so in the many years to come."
Perelman owns one singles victory on the ITF World Tennis Tour junior circuit. Claiming the J5 Isfahan Junior Championship in July 2022. She boasts 10 doubles crowns, including the J100 Cairo and J60 Doha events in 2024. She earned four ITF junior doubles titles in both 2022 and 2023.
"I'm thrilled to announce my commitment to Texas A&M and join the Aggies next fall!" Perelman said. "I'm incredibly grateful for this opportunity and couldn't be more excited to represent the University on the court while pursuing my academic goals. I can't wait to contribute to this team's success and grow both as an athlete and a student. Gig 'em!"
In 2025, the 17-year-old has reached the doubles quarterfinals at the J300 New Delhi, J200 Chandigarh and J500 Cairo events. She achieved her highest ITF juniors ranking in January, climbing to No. 130.
Perelman also had a productive 2024. She reached the singles semifinal and doubles final at J200 Almaty, the J200 Fergana singles semifinal and J200 Shymkent doubles final. Perelman also played in the singles final J60 Antalya.
