Texas A&M Declared SEC Tournament Co-Champions

ATHENS – The Texas A&M softball team has been named SEC Tournament Co-Champions after the championship game against Oklahoma was canceled due to inclement weather, Saturday afternoon at Jack Turner Stadium.
The title is the first for Texas A&M since joining the league in prior to the 2013 softball season, while it's the second conference tournament title in program history winning the Big 12 in 2008.
Texas A&M set SEC Tournament records in batting average (.418), runs (26) and RBI (25), while playing only two games. Individually Amari Harper set an SEC Tournament single game record with six RBI in the semifinal round. Freshman KK Dement matched an SEC Tournament record nine RBI hitting 3-for-7, including two home runs, one double and three runs, while finishing with a 1.429 slugging percentage.
A&M's run rule victory against Texas marked only the third semifinal mercy rule win in SEC Tournament history and first since 2018, while the 14-2 win is the largest margin of victory in the history of the SEC Tournament.
The 2025 NCAA softball selection show will air on Sunday, May 11 at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.
