BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M women's golf team announced the signing of two-time Sun Belt Golfer of the Year and Georgia Southern transfer Louise Reau Monday.
"When you look at her pedigree, it just jumps off the page," Head Coach Gerrod Chadwell said. "What was even better than how great of a golfer she is, was that once I got to know her, I could see how well she would fit into our program. Her work ethic, organization and determination are perfect for our team. Everyone you talk to has great things to say about her, and that is a testament to her hard work and character. I am excited to keep the French pipeline going and get her to Aggieland."
The rising junior was the No. 5 ranked mid-major golfer on the Scoreboard Rankings this past season and No. 71 overall among all collegiate players. Reau is also the No. 100 ranked amateur in the world, according to the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
Reau registered a 72.4 stroke average this season and led Georgia Southern to the NCAA Championships for the first time in program history after finishing runner-up at the NCAA Lexington Regional as a team. At the regional, the rising junior took home a share of fifth to pace the Eagles. Reau also locked in two tournament wins this season at The Southern and Tiger Classic and was tabbed as the 2025 Sun Belt Golfer of the Year.
As a freshman, Reau was tabbed as the 2024 Sun Belt Golfer of the Year and 2024 Sun Belt Freshman of the Year after producing a school record 71.88 scoring average. She recorded two collegiate victories and became the first GSU golfer to compete at an NCAA regional as an individual. Reau dominated at the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional, tying for 10th to end her rookie campaign.
The Béziers, France, joins a roster featuring All-Americans Cayetana Fernández García-Poggio and Vanessa Borovilos and the No. 2 recruiting class in the country. The 2025 recruiting class is highlighted by three of the top 10 incoming freshmen in the nation.
