Colvin Signs Pro Contract with Fort Lauderdale United FC

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Texas A&M soccer standout Kate Colvin signed her first professional contract, agreeing to terms with Fort Lauderdale United FC for the 2025-26 Gainbridge Super League campaign, the club announced Friday.
Colvin, who earned her bachelor's degree in marketing – analytics and consulting in May 2024 is a Super Aggie who used her Covid campaign to play five years in the Maroon & White. She recorded 78 caps for Texas A&M, including 42 starts. Colvin tallied 36 career points on 12 goals and 12 assists.
"Kate is a proven competitor at a high-level collegiate program who consistently works to improve," FTL UTD associate head coach Ali Rogers said in team release. "Her mentality, work rate, standards and commitment to winning set her apart and make her a valuable asset to our team."
As a freshman, Colvin played in 15 matches, including six starts, racking up 808 minutes on the pitch as Texas A&M claimed the SEC regular season title in 2020 and advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight in the spring of 2021.
In the 2021 season the Magnolia native played in 18 matches, including 13 starts, logging four goals and one assist. She followed it up with a stellar junior campaign in 2022, logging 16 points on four goals and eight assists in 21 matches. The effort earned her Texas A&M's Iron Aggie Award and Aggie Assist Leader Award.
Colvin battled through injuries her last two seasons, playing 24 matches with two starts, accounting for three goals and two assists in 730 minutes.
A star in the classroom, Colvin earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District 7 on two occasions and SEC Academic Honor Roll recognition every season.
Two Aggies played for Fort Lauderdale United FC last season with Addie McCain and Cosette Morché starring on the squad which placed fourth in the regular-season standings and finished runner-up at the USL Super League Championship.
