Thomas Dick, Texas A&M Athletics Communications
12thMan.com chatted with Kaylee Noble, a striker who transferred from Cal State Fullerton. Noble is among a corps of exciting newcomers hoping to revitalize Texas A&M's offensive arsenal.
When did you arrive in Aggieland?
June 26. So I’ve been here just over a month..
How have you been adapting to Texas?
Honestly better than I thought I would. I’m getting used to it. Time change didn’t really affect me, but the weather is different. I’m getting used to it. It’s not this hot back home.
What’s been your favorite part of Aggieland?
I like how open it is compared to where I live. I’m from what I would say is a condensed area, so I definitely like how its open and green. I love the atmosphere and how green it is.

What went into your decision to enter the transfer portal?
I just wanted a different experience. I loved my old school. There’s nothing wrong with it. I just wanted something new and a fresh start.
When you were looking at schools, what boxes did Texas A&M check off?
All of them. I was excited about playing in a more competitive conference. I loved the facilities, the coaches and the different playing style.
What was the ultimate selling point of Texas A&M?
Honestly, the coaches and the amount of respect they have for me and for the game. I just bonded with all the coaches so well.

What attributes do you bring to the team?
I definitely bring a lot of positivity and leadership. As far as my play, I’d say my ability to score and my speed.
Individually what are the coaches working on with you to improve your game?
My shooting from distance.
Currently what position do the coaches have you playing and how comfortable are you with it?
Striker, the nine. I love it. It’s my favorite position.

How has it been meshing with the team so far?
It’s been awesome. Everyone is very welcoming and they’re so easy to become friends with. I love everybody. It’s been great.
What are your earliest memories of playing soccer?
One time during the Albion Cup down in San Diego we were going to play in a championship game when I think I was 7-years-old. The night before the game I ate a slurpee from a bowling alley and I got really sick from it. I wasn’t going to play in the game, but we were tied 1-1 with like five minutes left and my coach was like ‘please go in there for the last five minutes.’ I went in there and I scored the game-winning goal while I was on my deathbed.
What’s your major and future career ambitions?
I’m majoring in kinesiology. I want to become a nurse.
Back in 2014 when Texas A&M went to the College Cup the squad had a heavy California presence on the roster and we’re starting to see that again… is there a different vibe or playing style that the California players bring to the team?
Oh, I don’t know how I would describe the vibe, but definitely just like an internal upright vibe. I don’t know how to describe it..

Aggie fans have been craving goals the last couple years. Are they going to see a lot of goals this year?
Of course. We’re going to score so many. We have a lot of dangerous pieces.
What’s your favorite way to score?
I love a good dribble and shot to the back post.
How excited are you for your first match at Ellis Field?
I’m so excited. I’ve been waiting. I’ve heard there is an exciting confetti cannon when you score. That definitely makes me more eager to score. They say the crowd is really loud. My teammates have said its one of the best places to have game day..
What food place are you missing most from home?
Definitely In-N-Out Burger. There’s like one on every corner where I live. I know there’s some somewhere in Texas, but the closest is over an hour away.
