Nabou Named to Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Preseason Watch List

HONOLULU – Texas A&M's Mark Nabou Jr. was named to the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Preseason Watch List, the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame announced Thursday. The award honors the most outstanding college football player of Polynesian ancestry who exemplifies exceptional ability and integrity on and off the field.

Nabou returns as a member of one of the most experienced offensive lines in the nation. Despite suffering a season-ending injury in the opener against Notre Dame, Nabou has made 13 career starts and played in nearly 750 snaps for the Maroon & White. In 2023 as a freshman, he made 11 starts at left guard and one at center, allowing only two sacks in 379 pass plays and was flagged only four times in 640 snaps.

Finalists for the 2025 Polynesian College Football Player of the Year Award will be unveiled on Dec. 9 and the winner announced on Dec. 16. The presentation of the award will be held during the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame Celebration Dinner on Jan. 17, 2026, and they will also be recognized during the Polynesian Bowl on Jan. 16, 2026.
