Football to Wear Texas Strong Helmet Decals in Honor of Flood Victims
Aug 28, 2025 | Football
Texas A&M Football will wear a Texas Strong decal on the team's helmets during Saturday's season opener against UTSA. Our hearts are not far removed from the tragic events that unfolded in the Texas Hill Country on July 4 when over 130 lives were lost--including the precious souls from Camp Mystic.
The decal represents the compassion, strength and resilience of Texans who came together to offer help in the face of disaster and honor those lives cut tragically short. Those in attendance at Kyle Field will also observe a moment of silence pregame in honor of the victims of the tragic floods.

Standing together and wearing our hearts on our helmets.
