Aug 31, 2025 | Soccer
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Kaylee Noble's hat trick keyed the Texas A&M soccer team's dominant performance in Sunday's 7-1 victory over the Lafayette Leopards at Ellis Field.
The Aggies wasted no time asserting control, scoring three goals in the span of four minutes to take a 3–0 lead at the 15-minute mark. Taylor Jernigan opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a strike into the top-right corner, followed quickly by a solo effort from Noble in the 13th minute and a ricocheted finish from Leah Diaz in the 14th. The Aggies carried a 4-1 lead into the intermission.
Noble added her second goal in the 23rd minute and racked up the hat trick in the 55th minute. It marked the program's first since Jazmine Wilkinson scored three at Tennessee on October 22, 2023, and A&M's first at Ellis Field since Haley Pounds tallied three against Rice on August 21, 2016.
The seven-goal outburst was A&M's highest scoring output since its 10–0 victory over Texas Southern in 2023.
Texas A&M dominated Lafayette statistically, holding a 32–4 advantage in shots, including a 12–2 edge in shots on goal. The Aggies also earned nine corner kicks while limiting the Leopards to just one.
Freshman Holly Storer tallied the first two goals of her career, both in the second half. Trinity Buchanan and Diaz each had two assists. Kat Campbell, Jernigan, Noble and Mia Scranton contributed on assist apiece.
Texas A&M (3-0-2) started the season undefeated through five matches for the first time since 2022.
