Sep 15, 2025 | Football
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M wide receiver Mario Craver was named the Associated Press National Player of the Week following a career-high game in the Aggies' 41-40 win at No. 8 Notre Dame, the AP announced Monday. Craver is the first Aggie in program history to earn the weekly accolade.
Craver posted career highs with 207 yards on seven catches, including an 86-yard touchdown reception. The sophomore became the eighth player in school history to post a 200-yard receiving game, while his 173 yards at halftime were the most by an Aggie in a half since Mike Evans had 182 against Auburn in 2013.
Additionally, Craver became the first Texas A&M player with a 70+ yard receiving touchdown in consecutive games and became only the second Aggie to reach the century mark in three consecutive games, joining Ryan Swope in 2012.
The Birmingham, Alabama, native leads the nation with 443 receiving yards and is averaging 147.7 yards per game. The AP began recognizing a national player of the week in 2024.
