Trevino, Bowshire Nab Points in 1m Dive at SEC Championships

KNOXVILLE – The Texas A&M diving tandem of freshman Emilio Trevino and sophomore Jaxon Bowshire put the men's team on the scoreboard in the 1-meter springboard dive in the lone event of the day at the 2026 SEC Swimming & Diving Championships on Monday at the University of Tennessee's Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.
 
Trevino placed 14^th with a score of 310.65 in the consolation final, moving up a spot from his placing in the preliminary round. Bowshire chipped in seven points with an 18^th place effort.
 
Swimming starts at the SEC Championships on Tuesday with the men's and women's 1,650-yard freestyle heats beginning at 10:30 a.m. The prelims of the women's 1-meter springboard begins at 11 a.m. with the consolation final following immediately. Tuesday's evening session starts with the finals of the men's and women's 200 medley relays at 4 p.m., followed by the finals of the 1m dive and the men's and women's 800 free relays.
