Perez Named SEC Player of the Week

BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M's Mya Perez has been named the SEC Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon. The weekly honor is the first for Texas A&M this season.
 
Perez slashed .833/.909/2.000 in the series victory at No. 17 LSU. The junior reached base in 10 of her 11 plate appearances, going 5-for-6 with two home runs, a double, five walks, while adding six RBI and two runs scored.
 
The Corona, California, native went 3-for-3 with a double, a home run, walk and three RBI in game one and followed going 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in game two to help Texas A&M clinch its first road series at LSU in program history. Perez was walked in all four plate appearances in game three.
 
Perez ranks ninth nationally in slugging percentage (1.080), 10th in on-base percentage (.612), 12th in home runs (12) and 21st in batting average (.493). Perez has reached base safely in a nation-leading 31 consecutive games.
 
The weekly award marks the third of her career and first since April 1, 2025.
