No. 25 Baseball Blasts Five Homers, Sweeps Missouri in Run-Rule Fashion

COLUMBIA – No. 25 Texas A&M mashed 15 hits and five home runs to rout Missouri, 14-3, to claim the series sweep Sunday afternoon from Taylor Stadium. 

Gavin Grahovac mashed two home runs for the second consecutive game, logging a career-best seven RBI. Blake Binderup, Jake Duer and Caden Sorrell also belted round-trippers in the win. 

The Aggies (22-5, 5-4) got on the board first in the second inning behind an RBI single from Boston Kellner and a three-run jack from Grahovac. 

The Maroon & White broke the game open in the third inning, plating seven runs on three home runs. Binderup drove a long ball to center field to tack on two runs. After a single from Jorian Wilson, a hit by pitch from Bear Harrison and a Kellner walk to load the bases, Grahovac demolished a grand slam 397 feet to center field, leaving the bat at 107 miles per hour. Two pitches later, Sorrell knocked a deep solo shot to right field to put the Aggies up, 11-0. 

Missouri (17-12, 1-8) tacked on a run in the bottom of the third and scored a pair in the fifth to make it an 11-3 ballgame. 

Harrison drove in a run with a single in the sixth inning, and a Duer two-run shot in the seventh elevated the Aggie edge to eleven runs. 

Aiden Sims (5-0) earned his second consecutive conference win, tossing 5.1 innings of three-run ball. The righty punched out five batters and only issued one walk. Juan Vargas was first out of the bullpen, completing the sixth inning and logging a strikeout. Ethan Darden completed the run-rule victory with a clean seventh inning, inducing the final three outs on just 11 pitches.

Grahovac cleared the bases with a grand slam to center field. Sorrell followed with a solo shot to right field. A&M 11, Missouri 0. 

B3 | Kam Durnin knocked a solo homer to left field. A&M 11, Missouri 1. 

B5 | With two outs, Kaden Peer singled to right field and Jase Woita homered. A&M 11, Missouri 3.

T7 | Sorrell led off with a single to right field but was put out on a fielder's choice off the bat of Hacopian. Duer drove a home run the opposite way to left-center field. A&M 14, Missouri 3. 

GAME NOTES 

• Sunday's finale marked the 102nd meeting all-time between the clubs. With the win, the Aggies lead the all-time series 59-41-2. 

• Texas A&M has scored 10 or more runs in four consecutive SEC games for the first time since 2016 (4/9-4/10 vs. Georgia, 4/15-4/16 at Mississippi State). 

• The Aggies' sweep of Missouri marked the first against an opponent on the road since March 22-24, 2019 at Kentucky. 

• Grahovac's grand slam was the second of his career. The round tripper also marked his 31st in the Maroon & White, inserting him at 10th on Texas A&M's all-time leaderboard. 

• The two homers for Grahovac marked his fourth career multi-homer performance. The junior has belted multiple long balls in back-to-back games for the first time in his career. His seven RBI set a new personal best. 

• The Orange, California, has homered in consecutive games for the first time since 2024. (5/5 at LSU & 5/7 vs. Rice) 

• Harrison was hit by a pitch for the 14th time this season, tying Kyle Colligan for 10th-most by an Aggie in a single season.  

• Eight Aggie hitters recorded a base knock. 

• The Maroon & White blasted five home runs in a game for the third time this season. 

• Four Aggies recorded multiple hits (Binderup, Grahovac, Sorrell, Wilson) 

• Binderup matched a career high with three hits and scored a personal-best three runs. 

• Wilson logged a career-best three hits.
• Kellner has reached base safely in all 27 games.
• Sorrell extended his hit streak to 10 games and his on-base streak to 21 games.
