COLUMBIA – No. 25 Texas A&M mashed 15 hits and five home runs to rout Missouri, 14-3, to claim the series sweep Sunday afternoon from Taylor Stadium.Â
Gavin Grahovac mashed two home runs for the second consecutive game, logging a career-best seven RBI. Blake Binderup, Jake Duer and Caden Sorrell also belted round-trippers in the win.Â
The Aggies (22-5, 5-4) got on the board first in the second inning behind an RBI single from Boston Kellner and a three-run jack from Grahovac.Â
The Maroon & White broke the game open in the third inning, plating seven runs on three home runs. Binderup drove a long ball to center field to tack on two runs. After a single from Jorian Wilson, a hit by pitch from Bear Harrison and a Kellner walk to load the bases, Grahovac demolished a grand slam 397 feet to center field, leaving the bat at 107 miles per hour. Two pitches later, Sorrell knocked a deep solo shot to right field to put the Aggies up, 11-0.Â
Missouri (17-12, 1-8) tacked on a run in the bottom of the third and scored a pair in the fifth to make it an 11-3 ballgame.Â
Harrison drove in a run with a single in the sixth inning, and a Duer two-run shot in the seventh elevated the Aggie edge to eleven runs.Â
Aiden Sims (5-0) earned his second consecutive conference win, tossing 5.1 innings of three-run ball. The righty punched out five batters and only issued one walk. Juan Vargas was first out of the bullpen, completing the sixth inning and logging a strikeout. Ethan Darden completed the run-rule victory with a clean seventh inning, inducing the final three outs on just 11 pitches.Â
