Perez Named to SEC Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M standout Lucciana Perez claimed a spot on the SEC Women's Tennis Community Service Team the league announced Thursday.

BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M standout Lucciana Perez claimed a spot on the SEC Women's Tennis Community Service Team the league announced Thursday.
 
Perez has served Texas A&M and the Bryan-College Station community well through various service activities. Most notably she assisted the athletics department's marketing staff in creating a fun, Halloween atmosphere for children in the community at a volleyball match by participating in the pre-match Trick-or-Treat event.
 
The Lima, Peru, native is ranked No. 1 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association singles rankings, the second Aggie to ever top the charts. Perez is 20-0 on the season, including 11-0 in SEC play. She owns a 31-match SEC regular-season win streak.
 
The Aggies are ranked No. 2 in the country. They own a 20-3 overall record and a 12-1 mark in SEC play. With a win in one of its two matches this weekend, Texas A&M would claim its fifth consecutive SEC regular-season crown.
